The Tap

It is the tick of the clock, the tap tapping of people preparing, and the tapping of the foot as you begin to complete your list. THIS is what most Springs are like for us! That has not changed. We are painting the bottom, polishing the prop, tackling those projects that the weather now allows us to. We don’t belittle anything but fishermen have a list and it has to be done!

a lone laughing gull and sandpiper birds along the shoreline. blue ocean water and a sandy beach littered with shells

The birds don’t register time or place. It is also a creature of habit and knows when it is supposed to be about foraging. We have seen Spring sprung. My friends to the North have littered pages with images of their freak snowflakes! Holy cow. Hang in there, it is coming.

Artic blue ocean waves with huge white tops from this winter. Rolling waves in open ocean.

We saw plenty of this recently. Every time we turned around it breezed up although maybe not quite in the massive roll. Tease with the warmth and chill with the fronts. Fish still continue to move up the coast as we never really take our fingers of the pulse of what is moving. Fishermen talk. OH boy do they ever! We want to know how, when, what temperature…when is the scales coming back up on deck!

Family of four people smiling in our cockpit. facing the camera and waiting for the next bite. all dressed in sun wear and hats.

NO of course we are not out there yet. See them? I miss every client, family, bachelor party, kids, couples, and every reason they just completely go out there with us. It is a boat ride, nature, fishing , and NOT the office. NOT the cubicle, NOT the room, NOT the day to day. You should be with those you want to. That is up to you!

sunrise photo from the cockpit. Oranges, grays, purples. A shadow of a boat running past us in the background.

Sooner than you think, we will be here. Meantime, I am on task with Will checking boxes off my list on what we need to do to have it all done by the time you get here.

I want to reach out to my own people both North and South. I am counting down to our family meal and just goofing off period.

For my crews: sunblock, hat, sunglasses, a good huk to protect your face is nice height of summer , what you eat and drink and anything else you would like to bring!

As we know more , I will post it here!

Thank you always

Viv McPherson
