We have been so fortunate! This year has been full of non stop fishing, summertime weather, and changing it up when we are full steam. We can not see Fall yet as the temps reflect end of August and the fishermen have not headed home!
It has been the best of crews who were so happy to get out, put their feet up, and breathe in the salt air!
Bring a go pro, your tunes, a portable speaker; make it a nice day you all can just relax and remember. Albies on occasion, some spanish or moonfish. We keep changing our gear as the bite has been changing.
We love watching the next generation become stewards of the shallows. Showing their peers what is what and how a fish may be is the best re-education for the old salts! If your family can meet you dockside after your trip make sure we can include them in the shot! (see above right). Start them out right so they can see where you were the last few hours!
What the trip is supposed to be is get on out there, break the routine, enjoy, and we worry about the rest. Trust me we do! Fish do not have to listen. Fish can zip their lips but we will do everything possible to get them over the washboards or even released back into the ocean.
The rest is always up to mother nature! You would think by now my pictures would be into the August trips. Yep…NO! I am still uploading, fishing, thinking (and that is alot) and trying to get you all caught up on the catching.
Hey, my women have Swag! they put their time in be it albies, four foot hound fish, and feathers on their caps! That is a true fisherman (generic term please). Thank you thank you!
Rain or shine we are on the move. Next week looks pretty again and Monday is already gone as well as a few other slots. We are out today all day and look forward to those fishing us along the way! It has been a challenge this year for us as there is not a 48 hr day really. Who would have thought!
Whether it is Will, myself, a new face, or you yourself “on the line,” lets just get out there and take it in while we have the opportunity.
** We have some availability next week but it will fill as we are looking at normal summer weather right now! Thank you to the dolphin watchers, bird watchers, crews who crewed themselves! You have gotten the full monty this year! Albies, some drum release, ribbons-we just keep moving!
I have more July photos coming as well as August. Here we go!
