Humble Pie? I didn’t order that!

We really thought we had left the storms behind and for the most part , we did.

orange and gray sunrise over the calm atlantic ocean. the clouds hide the light but soon it will be daylight.

That conveyor belt shot one hurricane after another into the Gulf and then shot more east of Bermuda creating large swell that washed the beaches for days. Surfers enjoyed the challenge but fishermen tapped their foot.

Trout, bottom fare and the aquarium tour took place on sporadic days. My “Gingers” never fail to rise to any occasion and are not easily deterred! Love them! We laughed all four hours. Girls ruled once the hook ups started.

We have seen younger become older; sage become senior and when folks ask me “do you remember when I was ten” and pull a photo out…I am amazed and grateful to still be in the pit lolol. Coming back years later is a compliment.

The macks we thought had passed did emerge. The ribbons we thought were gone also rose to bite. It didn’t last long as another front crushed in to shove us again to the backside.

Cowboy up! You had to pick your day and go! Your vacation is just that and sometimes we can try to switch you to what we may think is a better day. Fall is like that! You will get served humble pie when the seas don’t cooperate and the fish shut their lips!

We are entering the coming week with warmer temperatures. NE right now is due to hopefully lay down. The first of the smaller striper have begun to this the boards but traffic is a bit heavy . What that means is to keep all your options open boys and girls! We are going to continue to fish until we see migration fizzle.

If you are here , best to call us at home for the latest as I have picked up the phone a few times the last ten days!

Cheers!
