I am refusing peppermint at this time. Listen, it is still Fall so do not shove those candy canes in the bowl just yet! We came off last week’s breeze up and fished all the venues.
If you ever wondered what we do when the ocean roars, we hit the ultralights. Backside on the bottom is the way to go when the current isn’t ferocious. The more we moved around, the more the tails got organized. Mullet, some spot, occasional trout made their way to the boards.
Attitude is everything! I have had wonderful crews who were there to spread their wings, take a break, take in the scenery and just relax. You have all year to stress out so leave it on the dock. The Outer Banks is made for flip flop mentality.
Every student has a break day. You can take it when you want and we can see what is out there! Make it your science class! Make it the time off you have that week. Most of all; bring your family and friends and rock it!
Cast out and drift the thoughts away. You can keep, release, take a digital; that is up to you! Ocean side the catches are also changing. One trip can see one type of fishing and the next a change in species! We have it all rigged up so that we don’t miss a beat!
What better way to have a boys outing than to grab four hours and just catch up? The target was never about keeping a million fish. It was about what you could “catch” up on in that time period. Believe me, the videos were great! Nice job guys!
Kayaks, paddle boards, skiffs, and runabouts ;all have attempted to glance a blow at the last rays of summer. Are we busier than normal? Yes! Are we happy to have you? Yes! Thank you!
Rock the looks, rock the first blues of the Fall( they have been missing quite a bit), find a glittering ribbon if you can, and grab a Mack. We never guarantee fish but we guarantee it will break the cubicle, the laptop cramps, and the endless streams of data!
We have a few slots this week. Look to be backside first and hope to be in the ocean later. We are watching a system that is due to stall way south as well. All that has been before is now like a blackboard; erased. We set out again in search of what may bite and where!
Thank you to all my crews ! You have made this Fall very easy for us and we appreciate it!
