We entered 2023. Where did the last two summers go? It was all we could do to leave the dock, adjust, and keep on moving. The days push to get longer by minutes. Not very fast on that score but hope springs eternal as we make the annual list for “what we need” versus “but hey, if we could, that would be awesome.” lol
The calls have already started for inquiries and those are stretching into the Fall right now. You are welcome to choose the day or days that work for you but know that we cannot “hold” a day unless a deposit is attached to that. I will be adjusting the All Day Nearshore price upwards shortly as fuel , we are thinking , will climb a penny or two during the high season.
You can find a shell, walk with the four legged kind, or just watch the sun come up with very little fanfare right now. It is the peaceful time of year that let us recoup a bit of the serenity we miss in the chaos. Tuna boats have already ventured for the bluefin tuna this time of year. There have been a few caught and this will be their time. We check the boat inventory and miss the sound of the motor and the conversation of anglers at the same time. What a privilege it is to see everyone!
I have great regulars and new anglers alike When the fish begin their migration nearshore (think May onwards depending on water temps) ,we are ready to go. It is nature and she rules but hey, if you are somewhere different and out of the box why not?
The fishing will change all summer. Species move through both larger and smaller. Some you may eat, some you may not, or you may release them all. It is your trip and although we have no control over every condition, it is about putting what knowledge we have to use. Kids scatter, friends get busy, and parents may travel the world living ” their best life” (ok, the last part is how I threaten my own kids but I digress)! The point is, get out there, make some memories be it a one time trip or repeat and let us know how to schedule you !
As we take the boat to the yard ( “yahrd if you are my friends from Bahstun) I will keep you updated. If you are here now, try the surf as they did see some nice specs along the beaches! Pictures have been unreal!
Thank you to all those who kept us untied 2022. Welcome 2022 and fingers crossed for an early warm up!
