Posted by When you come aboard each year, it is a bit like mom “spring house cleaning.” Most of you know I am pulled in many different directions. I am social media, post, still listing and selling real estate full time, helper with maintenance and also …if it is disappointing, it lands on my desk. NOT that my “boss” cannot handle it, it is just easier if I tackle that and “feito,” we are finished with that. I cannot imagine a better boss MOST days…until the sandpaper, paint, and broom come out. Then I want to pack a bag and run away. FAR, FAR away. Like…SOUTH AMERICA far away until it is all done lol. Never think we all don’t multi-task here. It is a farce to say you can only do one thing well. No doubt in your own home you are a scheduler, worker, master of many things day to day and just don’t give yourself credit for it.
So come here for vacation! Love the calls we are getting and we are happy to answer as long as you don’t mind in the car, in the boat, or at our home. Welcome to our days.
Weather here has finally been great! Upper seventies, no moisture, perfect to completely clean out, dry out, air out, and sport it up! Boat yards are full and we waited our turn to get there. Since we are in line we jumped in, emptied, sanded, painted, and are on the home stretch inside. Tackle sorted last year in a major way and we are BUYING NOTHING except replacement hooks this year.
NOPE, Will is NOT ALLOWED to go in a tackle shop without ME lol. I spent three days saying ” omg…that is where that is…LOOK, it is an antique..we cannot use that!”
The hours you don’t see when you sit down, touch a surface, or head to the head (yep, painted, sterilized etc) are done daily. On top of that crews have to be happy, helpful, and do our best with the natural product. We are due to lift, paint, be back over soon! I am looking forward to it as I do each year. WE have been so graced with phenomenal, die hard people. They have seen the worst and the easiest. They are here to relax, do something different, and experience a day that is different for their entire year.
Currently, the Secretary (moi) is ‘conversing’ for one or two upgrades. I have to get past “management” for that decision. Keep it on our social media “insta” and “in your face” facebook as it is easier for me to update that. Thank you to all, lets try to rock it again this season-summer cannot come soon enough. By the way, we love new anglers, always. It can be a one time thing and don’t ever feel intimidated. That is why we are here.
