Next person that uses one of my tag lines for their boat name needs to photo it and send it to me lol. I cannot believe we are already opening the books! Thank you to those emailing in , messaging with proposed dates and circling in on what they want. It helps greatly so that you can hopefully be in the venue you wish. I will not tell you how many years I have done this but suffice it to say I wish they put Botox into my sunscreen. I want in on that…
I miss the sunrise launches. This time of year nearshore boats tend to be tied overall. I am not speaking for anyone but just a trend overall. Could be guys fishing so do not want to speak for them. For us, it is all about the warm up. The coastal sound and nearshore waters have to warm up for us to get back to work. All current and weather dependent.
We want to do the best we can and we like to have some conditions if possible. My crews know how to relax, have a good time, and bring it across the boards! Bring your portable speaker for your tunes, your eats, sunblock, and remember that life has more than just the 6 o’clock news. Take a breather!
Don’t forget we release as well. We have rules ! Are they big enough to keep? Are they TOO big to keep (it is like Pikachu eyes with tears when you tell them that)? Funniest phone call I ever was witness to was a great customer who first caught a small cobia. We took a photo and we released it. Like a 15 pound fish. Too small. She then caught a 35lb drum. We took photos and threw it back. Too Big. Her friend got all those photos and texts and called her. “Where ARE you??? Exactly where are you fishing ? What do you mean they were too small and big?!!” I have NEVER had an issue with anyone understanding the regs and taking a photo like that but she honestly was good, we caught some good fish to eat and those were bonus fish .
I am still working the cockpit with Will even with things filling up the plate. I would not miss it! It is alot of fun to see the next generation down pulling alongside and it keeps me tuned to what I can accomplish. I would be nowhere with out the men that sporadically filled in when I was not there. They can run a boat and deserve all the praise for their service both on and off the Sinbad. We plan on a repaint to the interior as well as cleaning up as we have supplies on the way. If you know when you are arriving and want to go, I would go ahead and get on the books. This is going to be another good year on the beach. We were a couple weeks out booking last year. Weekends are great for four day stays, drive in from Richmond to Va. Beach and west when the weather is great.
As soon as I can take photos of what is coming for the marina side-you will see it here! Lots of good things will be coming our way in the next two years.
Cheers and we have called back and answered all calls and emails!
