New Cruise New You

I know that anyone I referred out during September had a ball with their crews. There was still some good fishing to be had prior to the last tropical system and today was back to the first boat looking around. It is the shade of coffee water in some places. We are hoping to see blue green. Cannot speak to what is where as …wait for it…we have a cold front coming in! IT IS better than accepting the next system tropical in nature (Phillipe?) that is out to sea. I will take the cold fronts.

Hello Fall!

Right now I can say Will and I are very happy overall. It was actually only three days until the motor was able to be dropped in but yep-we needed a part so that set it back a bit. We tried to take on every paint, scrub, install, new hardware, we could in the interim. Cushions, paint, rod holders, hinges, almost all done. ALMOST. I am pretty sure they were taking bets inside the shop if I would fly out of our tower while painting. lol. Thankfully no! I saw them…

We still have a Spring List but I can honestly say we are up a few knots on cruise, the motor is quieter, smoother, and fingers crossed: set for the duration.

I want to thank Spencer Yachts, Frankie and the crew who always lift and block us up, Narrowshoremmarine, Just Right Rebuild Frank and C.C . and all the nice support! They were on the phone tracking everything before we even got to Wanchese . I knew where the new motor was in each state, what it was, when it got here, and what part did not. We took up yard space normally a multi million dollar yacht could so again, appreciate it! Clockman’s in Manteo did our lettering and with some teamwork, it was up there in short order.

New You

October is coming in. We will have the books open. This week I would like to see the green water return as the tides are still high today so maybe the NE wind will do that. October usually brings in the surf cast tournament, beach bites and boat bites so lets let the front get by and see what is what! I have a few afternoons in October that are not available. Not many. If you are trying for ocean know that you may have to flex a bit on weather. There were still blues inside prior to Ophelia (ugh storm , last minute) but again, chocolate milk inside this morning so lets get it cleaned up a bit! Thank you to those aboard prior and to those coming in! You can reach us via cell at 252.423.0039 cell Cpt. Will. Visa/Master deposit required but you can settle up day of charter for balance.

thanks!

Viv McPherson
