I cannot keep up with the blur of the days, the fish, the ever changing weather, and the great photos of our crews! We have been graced with good sense of humor, understanding, cheers as the fish came over the boards. It is the nature of our biz! We have seen the mack runs , the spotty kings, the albies, shot on drum, the blues, a few triggers and it never ceases to amaze us how it can move within hours. We run , run, run!

There has been a concerted effort to put down the phone, disconnect unless you are pushing sunrise pics to your friends, and enjoy the here and now. We are guilty ourselves of that and when we go on vacation, we realize how connected we are until we turn it on silent. That is the sound you know. Boat, water, birds, and conversation.

Hey, it can even be hard to “kid” somedays. I feel ya! Just know being out there for the water, the dolphins and turtles we may see, some fishing can be more zen than you think. You can keep it all, keep some, not keep any at all. Up to you.

Bodie Island Lighthouse
Know that the ocean and weather are the boss, you can eat humble pie when fish don’t cooperate, and still wake up the next day and it all changes. Saltwater nearshore fish don’t know morning or afternoon. they are moving, up and down, and we are on the move to keep up.
