Dusted off and still untied from the dock, we can see Fall approaching. Some schools and colleges are in. Other higher learning establishments have about two more weeks. Sorry kids, get your PC ready!

Alot depends on are you home, waiting for the last minute cottage discount, or are you home schooled. Weather finally has straightened out for a pretty run! Both Hatteras and Oregon Inlet crews seeing signs of what we normally have in July! Yay! lol Bait, It is about the food source.

We caught plenty this summer without it but having it at least you know, there might be a food chain there. We have been so fortunate of late. Bluefish, some spanish, peek at moonfish, and occasionally a shark in the mix. We have been using all the tackle of late as we move with what bites.

It can change each day an weather is a large factor. I know you think rain. Okay. sure. It is, however, wind that shakes it up! That is where our thoughts are. Don’t “bean count!” It is not Spago! No menu! If it were that easy, we all would just tournament fish and win lol. It isn’t . It is difficult when you spread out as a fleet for miles to secure something in hours. Be patient.

That is a big bass pond with no borders or tree stump. We were so happy to at least have a few shots on drum of late. They have been scarce this year no matter what you hear on this end. No doubt since conditions have changed, we look every day. If species are truly 20 days behind…what can September hold?!!

IDK? Lets find out! This week so far has been great on weather and bite. We will continue to have some small fronts go through but for now, we appreciate everyone who is fishing us whether new or old. We only made it this far because of what shoes came aboard to fish us and some sheer family grit when things don’t go as planned! Even when Charles is not here, we are a team on thoughts. Mom and Dad are just going to keep the fort rolling.

Next week is part of the last hurrah prior to Labor Day so hop on, find the prettiest weather or call Will and lets answer any questions BEFORE you book!

Thanks all! It is after all, Fishing!
