These Boots were made for Walking

It is always a matter of perspective. I dusted my backpack, boots, and travel gear and became a tourist. Who could resist that when we see so many visit here, enjoy nature, and occasionally ask me to help them make this their home? How lucky are we? Very.

I saw History meet ” Sanhattan.” I tried to cram in as much as I could. Is that is what it is like for you all??? I also tried to slow my pace.

red flowered field with snowy mountain peek and lake in the view. a single white cloud rests above the snowy peak.
Gaucho sheep ranch. Ranches stretch for hundreds of thousands of acres.

When you live on the sand your boots may try to take you to heights . I walked. I took a thousand photos. I called our son and his girlfriend lol. I shared. I made new friends who were so gracious with their time!

Island ride surrounded by glacier waters. That dog never left our side. Have to love that. Horses did!

You grab a guide. You grab man’s best friend to keep the hare’s at bay. You take in all that is new, all that is familiar and remember that here the sun sets at 11 pm. It explained why the cat and I slept for a day in the recliner. I am that tourist. I know….I know…but hey, I waited a few years so I was 100% lol.

I will admit …I let others do the cooking and I completely enjoyed that. PLUS I am not always great at that. lol

Cook in a rustic restaurant in Chile cooking over an open pit fire with a shovel stirring the coals.

Don’t lose your head! I am not moving anywhere but by going on a walkabout once in a while, it allows me to recenter, appreciate the time you give us, and be on the other side of that equation. I saw guides working alot of logistics, emails, head office and I am thankful it is you and us!

We have had a great year this year! Lots of great folks who travel here to see our beaches, lighthouses, great seafood, and to relax. I have placed some of you in cottages for future use be it vacation or second home, Congratulations! The weather at the nautical scene was gorgeous until Fall and they we got paid back in spades! We did catch fish but holy cow was it a gauntlet on getting out! Whew!

Will and I appreciate you all and I hope that 2020 will give you health, happiness, and prosperity. Cheers and as boats go back to the water you can catch it here!

I will update with the latest post New Year so that we are all on the same page. In the meantime if you are here; the weather has been phenomenal! 63F today and lots of folks enjoying it!
