I can see the light at the end of the tunnel! It is hard to believe that April was a start for some this year. May and June roared with the tropical conveyor belt and fish migration whether you had cold or warm waters. July is settling in to be what we know and comfort the gear does what it is supposed to when the fish are not full!
We had very few days of Kings in the mix so far this year. Prior to the last Tropical swell they were trying to organize. It gave our anglers some time not too far to try to put one in the box. Once the wave passed here and the swell died out, those Kings went with the winds.
For us there has been such a great joy in welcoming regulars back and watching new folks work their way through what our business is! Having your son’s highschool friend bring her family aboard on an East Coast jaunt ain’t that small of a compliment either!!! Hugs Marie and Trevor!
Families seem to have come from far this year. Everyone soaks in the beach differently and no doubt the great outdoors, the jokes, the sunshine is some great first aid!
Make no mistake, we have had some early days, days oceanside, days soundside, fish, hardly no fish at all, pretty weather, weird weather..you name it! It is the place where nature rules and we have to adjust to what she allows. If you think it is guaranteed , it is not! Everyone had their feelings hurt this year when the fish zipped their lips. That being said, we put our heads down (all of us) and just keep on trucking.
I have at least 20 more pics coming up. Seven days a week fishing then two days cleaning etc. leaves zero time. If you are here now you have seen with us albies, ribbons, very very few spanish, maybe a small shark competing with a ribbon.
We are unavailable starting tomorrow until Friday July 23 in the morning. The pm trip is gone that day. Also 24th. We are consistently booking into July / August so thank you for those who are with us!
If you are new to our venue: 1/2 day, 3/4 trip, and all Day Nearshore. This is not a gulfstream fishing trip for tuna or dolphin. Takes almost 2 hrs just to go out there for that and for that, please check at the marinas for large boats that will take you there! Those trips are currently over $2000 per day . Big boats, big distance runs!
** Please know if you book through the marina and then make a request on fishing, it really puts a blind spot for us in the sense what you may be looking for may not even be in the migration ! As much as we like to pick and choose, it is not a pond where things sit still or all run at the same time. Best to speak with us in the evenings for information like that before you book at all! Thank you!
