It has been about nine days or so but when the bottom fell out, and it did btw, we shifted like a breeze! Fishing on the backside outshone the oceanside. We were making decisions early with our crews that time period to either stick it out or go where we KNEW we could double the pole. I felt relieved and grateful we had those folks. Why? They made it an absolute blast!
If you don’t know, many of us fished the backside that time frame. It was almost like an armada of boats drifting away lol. Even when I got tangled up it was because there was a bite!
I want to tell you, this young man is absolutely one of the best big brothers! He is. Team player all the way, great fisherman on the bottom and never once was he not a complete positive person! Way to go! My kids have always made me feel like a rockstar when they come aboard. Whether I am there, Lee is there it is just so appreciated!
As summer finally settles in (and it took longer than usual) we breathed a sigh. Fishing is fishing but we appreciate when we can at least think we are going to see the tails swimming out there!
