Posted by Fishing reports are a sliver in time compared to a non stop movement in migration! A good report can last a week or 24hrs and then change up again. It is fishing in a wild venue with wild food source and there are alot of variables!
We finally saw our traditional showing of blues with a few macks mixed in the bunch. Water temps have fluctuated between fantastic to Lake side cold along the beaches depending on the wind.
We went from ribbons then none. Blues and spanish then another shot on cobia to no cobia, just blues and spanish and icy waters! We have been changing the tackle non stop to keep up. Some days were just great and some times you had to put your nose in the wind and hunker down for a bite.
They know your history in some cases and have fished here in the buggy top days! That says alot to the staying power of our area. It can be addicting. We were grateful for the sunshine, the fish, the people as they have been beyond great this season. We have more on tap and are out everyday right now. Fingers crossed the summer has begun and the water temps start to stabilize a bit to make it easier.
