Spring is still sprung and the weather has days of warmth and days of ” why is it like this?” We have been grateful to have our crews rolling us out of the dock again this year. Backside and oceanside are being fished right now. Chasing temperatures, conditions, and scales keeps the best of us pulling up the charts. We had a terrific group just prior to end of last week who were here for business and fun. Lassiter made their way here and with only that window, that day for this crew, we went!
Caine and Will headed out of the docks. It was the epitome of “man….forecast, rain, possible chop…” Proved wrong! That, my friends, is fishing! This crew although with. no rain gear (btw the women rocked it, double headers), put the lines in, made short work of the bite! SO incredibly lucky and we take that exactly as it comes! Great work by the boss which placed the bite in the box, fillets for Sam & Omie’s, and back to the dock early! Smart move as they ate out, dried off, and enjoyed the rest of the day just taking a break land side.
We are out again today and this is yet another window before tomorrow has a weather hissy. What can you say???? Our clients switched it up for today and onward it is! We do that when it is feasible and warranted. Sometimes, it is show to go which is exactly why this crew caught em and had em on the dock btw.
We have more coming up this season and we continue to book straight through our home. No lie that fuel is spiked and the prices are currently as advertised here for us. To the men I spoke with from Raleigh yesterday: hope to see you this summer! Call us at home!
